Traxxas telemetry changes the game by allowing you to monitor and record real-time data from your vehicle while you drive. The waterproof Telemetry Expander 2.0 includes the GPS Module 2.0 for the most accurate speed possible and accepts up to six additional auto-detectable sensors. The Traxxas Link app automatically recognizes sensors, so setup takes only a few moments! Advanced communication bus technology allows you to connect the telemetry expander to your TSM receiver or to your High-Voltage Power Amplifier, or directly to the VXL-6s and VXL-8s electronic speed controls with optional data cables. Install the Telemetry Expander, choose your sensors, and prepare for an all-new RC driving experience!
Important Note
The new GPS Module 2.0 (#6551X) and Telemetry Expander 2.0 (#6550X) replace the original Telemetry Expander (#6550) and GPS Module (#6551). The originals are not compatible with the new 2.0 versions.

Open the dashboard from the Traxxas Link home screen to view data from telemetry-ready accessories and sensors. The application recognizes installed auto-detectable telemetry sensors for easy setup. Record and save all displayed data to share with friends and other RC enthusiasts. The Telemetry Expander adds even more functionality with up to six additional sensors and the GPS module. Installation is quick and easy utilizing a single high-speed communications cable to the receiver, or to the High-Voltage Power Amplifier or ESC with optional data cables. Precise GPS-Based Speed
Standard telemetry sensors use your vehicle’s gear ratio and tire size to calculate speed based on RPM. This system works well for hard surfaces, but wheelspin on loose surfaces causes inaccurate speed readings. The Telemetry Expander 2.0 with GPS Module provides the most accurate speed data possible. The GPS Module 2.0 uses both GPS and GLONASS global positioning to deliver precise, real-time speed information via the Traxxas Link App on your TQi Radio System with Traxxas Link Wireless Module.

The Telemetry Expander 2.0 is easy to install with custom, vehicle specific mounting kits from Traxxas. These mounting kits ensure that the Telemetry Expander 2.0 is secured in the model with a clean and rugged solution that delivers the durability you expect from Traxxas.

Easy to Connect
Traxxas models equipped with the TQi radio system
The Telemetry Expander 2.0 connects directly to the TQi receiver using the supplied #6525 communication link cable.
X-Maxx, E-Revo, and Unlimited Desert Racer
Install the Telemetry Expander 2.0 and GPS Module for even more accurate speed measurements compared to the built in speed output from the VXL 6S and VXL 8S electronic speed controls. Plus, add the ability to install additional sensors to monitor parameters such as motor temperature. The Telemetry Expander connects directly to the VXL-6S or VXL-8S electronic speed control using the new Traxxas Data Link Cable #6566 (sold separately). Using the #6566 cable is a plug-and-play solution that conveniently eliminates the need to open the waterproof receiver box to add additional cables.
Vehicles equipped with the #6590 High Voltage power amplifier
The #6590 High Voltage Power supply is used for lighting accessories such as the #8485 off-road lighting set for the Unlimited Desert Racer. The #6550X Telemetry Expander can be conveniently connected directly to the #6590 high voltage power amplifier using the new #6565 Data Link Cable (sold separately). This provides a quick and easy plug-and-play connection without having to open the waterproof receiver box to add additional cables.
