The factory-installed Spektrum Firma 160A Smart Brushless Marine ESC and Spektrum 4685 950Kv 4-pole brushless marine motor form an 8S power system that runs on 2x 4S LiPo packs — giving you the flexibility to maximize top speed or extend run time depending on your battery selection. Independent dual water-cooling systems for both the motor and ESC keep operating temperatures in check during sustained high-speed runs, with cooling water routed through a dual pickup rudder for a clean, drag-reducing setup. The thick, durable ABS hull handles big jumps and rough water with confidence, and the SSL (Strap, Slide, Lock) battery tray system — with included large trays supporting packs up to 10,000+ mAh — makes pack swaps a matter of seconds rather than minutes.
The Super Sonicwake 48" is loaded with features that make large-scale RC boating as convenient and reliable as it is thrilling. Quick 1/4 turn canopy latches with dual-surface seals allow fast, tool-free hull access without any risk of stripped screws. A breakaway rudder rotates harmlessly upward on impact, protecting hull and hardware from submerged obstacles. Underwater LEDs at the transom illuminate the wake at dusk for a spectacular visual effect that's a first in Pro Boat history. A waterproof receiver box protects the electronics through multiple seasons of use, a stuffing tube grease catch keeps the hull interior clean, and a free-floating prop strut bushing with dedicated grease port makes lubrication fast and mess-free. The included Spektrum DX3 Smart DSMR 3-channel transmitter features a Smart battery power level indicator so you always know when it's time to return to shore.
