JConcepts RM2 Heavy-Metal Grease

Developed in partnership between JConcepts and RM2, Heavy-Metal Grease is a thick, high-quality lubricant engineered for the most demanding metal-to-metal applications in the RC drivetrain. Its primary home is in ring and pinion gear assemblies, where its heavy consistency delivers the protective film needed to reduce wear and keep mesh smooth under load. Beyond gears, Heavy-Metal pulls double duty across a wide range of drivetrain components — coating CVAs and bone assemblies, lubricating diff out-drives, seating o-rings inside the differential, and handling thrust assembly lubrication on 1/10 off-road differentials. A single container holds enough grease for multiple full builds or rebuilds, and the clean, simple packaging makes application and storage straightforward at the bench or in the pit bag.

Directions for Use: For differential o-rings, coat the surrounding metal components first, then apply a small amount to the o-rings themselves to allow free rotation without seizing under heavy use. For CVAs and bone assemblies, apply a liberal amount to the barrel portion of the CVA, assemble, and work into position. Once the vehicle is fully assembled, roll the driveline over to allow the grease to seat evenly and coat all frictional surfaces thoroughly.
