The Hobbywing EZRun MAX5 G2 ESC and 56118SD G2 800Kv motor combo delivers a purpose-matched, IP-67 rated waterproof and dustproof power system engineered specifically for the demands of 1/5 scale buggy, short course truck, and truck applications running up to 12S LiPo. At the heart of the ESC is innovative intelligent freewheeling technology that reduces heat generation, increases driving efficiency, and dramatically lowers operating temperature compared to the previous MAX5 generation — improving overall stability and reliability during sustained hard driving. The total capacitor capacity has increased by 45% over the previous generation to a massive 1260uF, eliminating the need for external capacitors on 1/5 scale models, and a built-in capacitor thermal protection function keeps the ESC in a safe operating state at all times.

The 250A continuous and 1600A peak current rating gives the MAX5 G2 the headroom to handle everything the 56118SD G2 motor demands across 6S to 12S LiPo configurations. The built-in ultra-powerful switch-mode BEC delivers 8A continuous and 25A instant output at selectable 6V, 7.4V, or 8.4V — covering the widest possible range of high-torque and high-voltage servo requirements without an external BEC. Turbo timing support with the matched 56118SD G2 sensored motor delivers remarkable timing response for maximum performance in competition applications. An independent programming port and compatibility with the LCD G2 Program Box, LED program card, or OTA Programmer gives you comprehensive parameter control, while the HW LINK app via OTA Bluetooth module delivers real-time data logging of throttle, voltage, current, temperature, and speed throughout every run. Firmware upgrades are supported via the LCD G2 Program Box or OTA Programmer for long-term feature access.

The matched EZRun 56118SD G2 800Kv motor shares the same IP-67 waterproof and dustproof rating as the ESC, featuring a fully rebuildable modular system, high-strength Kevlar fiber-wound rotor, quality bearings, excellent oxygen-free copper windings, and the new enhanced sensor wire interface for better protection and reliability.
