Points are awarded as such:
0 points for missing the zone
1 point for having one rear tire in the zone
2 points for having both rear tires in the zone
3 points for having both rear tires in the zone while wall riding
The run will be considered a DNF or 0 if the car hits the wall and crashes, or leaves the track area (taped outline).
24 drivers total, and EVERYONE will qualify for the comp!
Judging Criteria for Competition:
-Lead car will be judged on the Qualifying line, the chase car will be judged on proximity to the lead car and how closely they follow the same line as the lead car. Rubbing or tapping the lead car is fine as long as it does not upset the lead car. Causing the lead car to deviate from the line will be considered a crash by the chase car.
-If the lead car changes angle/line/speed in any zone that causes the chase car to hit the lead car will be considered a crash by the lead car.
-Chase car may start a car length behind lead at the start gate, and may ‘roll’ before Green/Blue on the start gate. The chase car may NOT cross the start line before Green/Blue, and once the chase car begins to roll, they may not stop. If they stop, this WILL be considered a “Jump, Rev, or Juke”.
-The “Jump, Rev, or Juke” Rule: The chase or lead driver may NOT “Jump, Rev, or Juke” their car in an attempt to disrupt the other driver. The first infraction will be a warning, the second will be an automatic loss for the battle.
-2 runs per battle. One lead one chase, then changes position.
-No points will be given for comp runs. Runs will be based on a 3 judge system.
-3 Judge System: each judge has one vote for either driver, or OMT (one more time), If more than two OMTs are called, the default winner is the higher seeded qualifier.
-Each driver has the right to contest the judge's decision, a contest fee is $10 (CASH ONLY, Non-refundable). A contest must be made immediately following the run/judging of the run.
-Top 4 will move onto the Semi-Finals, with the winners moving onto the finals. The losers from the Semi-Finals will face off for 3rd place.
-Competition Time Out: A competition time out may be called by a driver during their battles. They will be issued a five minute block to repair, fix, or address broken or damaged parts on the car.
-Double elimination bracket will be used.
