Losi 1/5 Scale 5IVE-TG 3.0 Gas 4WD Desert Truck RTR
The king has returned. When Losi introduced the original 5IVE-T in 2011, it redefined what large-scale RC could be — a proper 4x4 truck built on championship-proven engineering DNA that set the benchmark for the entire large-scale community. Over a decade later, the 5IVE-TG 3.0 raises that benchmark to unprecedented heights with the most powerful, most capable, and most impressive gas-powered 5IVE-T ever built. At the heart of the 3.0 is the all-new Fujiwara FJ350RC 35.2cc gasoline engine — based on the legendary Zenoah G320 with a larger bore that increases displacement and delivers meaningful gains in torque and power across the board, with the most dramatic improvements in the low and midrange where real-world acceleration is made. Pair that engine with new 43/12 ring and pinion gearing and a 67-tooth spur optimized for the truck's increased size and massive 8.5" tire diameter, and the result is an acceleration character and pulling power that simply has to be experienced to be believed.
Riding on officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels wrapped in massive 8.5" Pro-Line Mirage TT tires with proprietary Pro-Loc bead lock technology, the 5IVE-TG 3.0 cuts an imposing visual presence that matches its performance. Pro-Loc technology means tire changes only require replacing the tire — not the entire wheel-and-tire assembly — saving significant time and money over the truck's lifetime. A longer wheelbase keeps the massive wheels, tires, and new six-piece injection-molded polypropylene body panels in perfect visual proportion while dramatically improving straight-line stability at speed. Unlike traditional polycarbonate bodies, the injection-molded polypropylene panels — the same ultra-durable material used on the Losi Promoto-MX and Sprint Car platforms — flex to absorb impacts, maintain uniform wall thickness to eliminate weak spots, and make individual panel replacement far more affordable when the inevitable hard hit occurs.
New 32mm big-bore shocks deliver 78% more oil volume than the original 5IVE-T shocks for dramatically improved damping performance under the weight and forces of the larger platform, while tapered piston design increases pack and creates faster, more controlled rebound for superior traction across varied desert terrain. Redesigned front and rear suspension arms feature reinforced material around shock mounting locations for uniform thickness and enhanced durability, and corrected shock geometry optimizes shock angles from tower to arm with the new larger shocks for the handling balance the 3.0 platform demands. The new easy-access center differential mount lets you remove and service the center diff by simply unbolting the top plate — no need to disturb the brakes or linkage. Steering is handled by the Spektrum SPMSS1000MT 1,000 oz/in metal-top high-torque servo, whose metal top case keeps gears perfectly aligned while simultaneously acting as a heatsink to draw heat away from the servo motor for enhanced longevity under sustained hard use.
The included Spektrum DX3 Smart 3-channel DSMR transmitter and SR615 DSMR receiver provide reliable control with Smart battery telemetry capability — pair with Smart batteries for the receiver pack and the DX3's battery level indicator shows real-time capacity so you always know when it's time to swap in a fresh pack. Add fuel, install the receiver battery, and prepare to experience the largest and most capable gas-powered 5IVE-T in history.
