2025 Adrenaline RC Invitational – Outdoor Track Walk

2025 Adrenaline RC Invitational – Outdoor Track Walk

What’s up everybody! Jacob Hardison here, bringing you Track Walk #2 for the 2025 Adrenaline RC Invitational. Yesterday we gave you a sneak peek of our indoor track, and today we’re heading outdoors to walk the freshly-prepped 1/8th scale track. This layout is packed with elevation changes, big doubles, sweeping turns, and technical sections that are sure to make for incredible racing all weekend long.

We’ve been putting in long hours getting both the facility and the shop ready to welcome drivers from all over the country. With just a few finishing touches left, it’s the perfect time to take you on a tour of the outdoor track. Let’s dive in!

Kicking Off Down the Straightaway

This year, the lap begins right at the very start of the straightaway—different from the indoor setup. It’s not the longest straight we’ve ever run, but it still gives plenty of room for speed before a quick right-hand turn funnels drivers into the first section.

The Opening Features

  • Short Shoot & Switchback: After exiting pit lane, drivers will tackle a quick straight into the first switchback. The outside is slightly banked, with a flatter inside line for those looking to stay tight.

  • Double Rollers: The first technical challenge comes with back-to-back rollers. While it’s technically a double, the lip won’t carry most cars far enough to clear it, meaning two clean singles will be the safe bet.

Tabletop & Elevation Changes

Next up is a tabletop with good pop, sending cars uphill into a smooth roller and an elevation change. This section flows nicely but will reward those who carry momentum up the hill.

The Downhill Double & Center Feature

  • Downhill Double: The first big double of the track takes advantage of the slope, giving cars the push they need to clear it. Drivers will need precision here as it feeds directly into a technical chicane line.

  • Center Double: Right in front of the driver stand is one of the highlights of the layout—a fast, floaty center double with a long landing zone. Expect this to be a crowd favorite.

The Massive Elevated Turn

Without a doubt, the signature feature of this year’s outdoor track is the towering elevated turn. Rising nearly to driver-stand level, this giant banked corner will challenge drivers to carry speed while staying tight to the inside. It’s visually impressive and strategically critical for lap consistency.

The Back-Side Big Double

After a roller and flowing chicane, drivers are launched into the biggest double on the track. It’s massive, with a steep lip and wide landing area that makes it forgiving—if you carry the right speed. Air time here is guaranteed, and it’s going to be a key spot where races are won or lost.

Final Section & Return to the Line

Closing out the lap is a sweeping turn that drops into a pie-cut style kink, adding just enough steering adjustment to keep drivers honest before they re-enter the straightaway. This section flows into the lap’s end, completing a technical but fast-paced layout.

Facility Updates & Improvements

In addition to the track, we’ve made some updates around the outdoor facility:

  • Boardwalk Walkway: Wider pathways make it easy for pit crews and spectators to move without crowding.

  • Spectator Benches: Added seating for fans to enjoy the action.

  • Metal Pit Lane: Adjustments at the entrance improve flow while maintaining safety.

Event Details & Schedule

The 2025 Adrenaline RC Invitational kicks off this Thursday with check-in, followed by practice on Friday, and racing action running through the weekend. RVs, campers, and trailers should check in at the shop before parking to ensure smooth setup.

With two unique tracks—indoor and outdoor—this year’s Invitational promises to be our most exciting event yet. We can’t wait to see all of you out here battling on these layouts.
