Performance Meets Customization
The MT48 2.0 features a newly designed 4mm 7075 aluminum chassis, offering a perfect mix of strength and chassis flex. Designed to accept both 1/8 and select 1/10 bodies, it offers plenty of room for customization. Large 16mm bore aluminum shocks ensure smooth performance across all types of terrain, giving you precise handling even under extreme conditions.
Drivetrain & Suspension Strength
Designed to take abuse without compromise, the MT48 2.0 includes full-length universal drive shafts, hardened steel ring and pinion gears, and oversized bearings for enhanced reliability. Heavy-duty 5mm hinge pins, steel-core braces, and suspension parts derived from Tekno’s truggy lineup ensure long-lasting performance under the most intense driving.
Maximum Durability
This monster truck doesn’t just look tough—it is tough. It features full-size bumpers, skid plates, steel pivot balls, and a rear wheelie bar for added protection and style. Motor
Please note, we do not recommend 6s with large tires on high grip surfaces as this could cause premature failure.
Generally a 2200kv 42mm long can motor works well. Examples would be the Castle 1515 V2 2200, the Tekin T8 GEN3 4038 2250kv, or the HW Xerun 4274 2250kv. 2200kv is fast on 4s, and you can gear it down to run it on 6s for ballistic speed. You can also look for a 1700-1800 motor for the same reasons, but it will be a little slower on 4s.
ESC
Try to match the esc with the motor, Tekin RX8, Castle Monster X (the new Cobra 8 is really tight squeeze) HW XR8. Unfortunately the EZRun Max 8 will not fit.
Basically any esc/motor combo that says it’s for truggy racing should be good.
Servo
Any good quality standard size race servo that’s high torque. Protek 170TBL, 370TBL, EcoPwer 250T, etc.
Battery
4s hard case that is no longer than 140mm, probably want minimum 6500mah. You can also get a 6s pack as long as it fits those dimensions and you choose an appropriate motor.
Tires
One of the best all around tires is the Arrma BLX 4×4 Backflip LP 4s. The Pro-Line Trencher LP 3.8″ is also good but a little small. Pro-Line 3.8″ Badlands are also good. Non-belted tires are preferred as they handle more predictably.
Bodies
The wheelbase is ~336mm and track width is ~380mm. Some crawler bodies fit it fairly well. The TRX4 sport body actually looks pretty good on it. One of our favorites is the PL C10 long bed. We also tried the Pro-Line 2017 Ford Raptor and the Pro-Line 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD.
Pinion
Tekno RC MOD 1 Pinions 13 tooth to 17 tooth (TKR4173 – TKR4177) are recommended as some manufacturers do not conform to standards which could cause the spur gear to wear or fail prematurely as well as the inability to use preset motor spacing options.
