Building on the legacy of the highly regarded Decathlon RJG 1.2m, the Super Decathlon 1.2m carries forward everything that made its predecessor a fan favorite — and adds to it. By popular demand, it arrives factory-finished in the classic red, white, and black starburst trim scheme that's instantly recognizable from full-scale Super Decathlon aircraft. Scale details including functional LED landing and navigation lights, wing struts, and wheel pants round out the authentic appearance.

Under the hood, a specially tuned 3536-1030Kv brushless motor pairs with a 45-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC to deliver strong performance on a 3S 2200mAh pack, with even more speed and unlimited vertical capability when stepped up to a 4S 3200mAh battery — no modifications required. Four factory-installed digital metal-geared servos with ball-link linkages handle control surface inputs with precision.

The installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver brings enhanced AS3X+ technology that works continuously in the background to smooth out wind and turbulence, delivering a locked-in feel that punches well above the model's size class. Optional SAFE Select adds switchable pitch and bank angle limits with automatic self-leveling for pilots who want an extra safety net — or it can be bypassed entirely at bind time, leaving only AS3X+ active. A Smart Transmitter File preloaded on the receiver automatically pushes all switch assignments, rates, expo, telemetry settings, and voice callouts to compatible NX and iX series transmitters during binding — no manual programming required.

Final assembly is tool-free and glue-free, with thumbscrew wing attachment, hands-free connections, and quick-release struts that have the model ready to fly in under an hour. The one-piece wing removes quickly for storage and transport, and a top-mounted battery hatch allows fast swaps between flights.

Skill Level 2 — Some Experience Required. This model is intended for pilots who have successfully mastered a trainer aircraft such as the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m, Carbon Cub 1.3m, E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, or similar. It is not recommended as a first RC aircraft.
