Unboxing & Testing the Paragon RC Tire Gluing Jigs

What’s up, everybody? Jacob here from the Adrenaline RC YouTube channel, and today we’re diving into something that showed up on my doorstep shortly after my last tire gluing video—a mystery box from Paragon RC. Spoiler alert: it’s full of tire gluing jigs, and I was very curious to see how they stack up.

What’s in the Box?

Paragon sent over three different tire gluing jigs:

Each one is designed to help you get cleaner, more consistent glue jobs—and they also tossed in a ton of angled glue tips, which I’ll definitely put to use.

First Impressions: Solid Build Quality

The jigs are made from high-quality materials with beefy threading and a smooth bearing system that allows you to spin the tire for an even glue bead. Right out of the box, the construction felt durable and well thought out. These are clearly made with repeated use in mind.

Putting Them to the Test

I tested the 1/8 buggy and 1/10 buggy jigs, since I had those tires on hand. Here's how they held up:

1/8 Buggy Jig

  • Setup was quick and easy.

  • The jig pulled back the tire bead far enough to expose the full glue surface.

  • Gluing was smooth and clean.

  • The end result? A super flat, solid bond that looked great and should hold up well on the track.

1/10 Buggy Jig (The One I Was Most Curious About)

  • This jig comes with extra shim plates for different wheel types (2WD rear, 4WD front, etc.).

  • I was skeptical at first—10th scale tires have a bead that sits deeper in a groove, which can be tough to access.

  • But the jig exceeded expectations. It allowed full access to both the flat and sidewall portions of the bead.

  • Final result: A clean, tight glue joint, no gaps, no weird ridges.

What I Liked

  • Ease of Use: No more sore thumbs from peeling back beads by hand.

  • Consistency: Glue jobs came out level and solid across both 1/8 and 1/10 tires.

  • Thoughtful Design: The angled glue tips made it way easier to get into tight spots, especially on the 10th scale jig.

  • Flexibility: With the extra shims and adjustable threads, I could dial in the fit for various tires without any issues.

Honest Opinion (Not Sponsored!)

I want to make it clear—this video wasn’t paid for. Paragon RC sent the jigs for me to try, no strings attached. If they didn’t work, I’d be the first to say it.

But honestly? I’m impressed. These jigs changed my mind about tire jigs in general. I’ve avoided using them in the past because most didn’t give me enough bead exposure. But these did the job right—and made the whole process faster and easier.

Will We Carry These?

I’m planning to reach out to Paragon to see if we can offer these in-store and online at Adrenaline RC. I think a lot of you would benefit from having one (or all three!) of these in your pit setup.
